Cancer may have started the fight

BUT WE WILL FINISH IT

What is Mesothelioma?

Exposure to asbestos is the cause of mesothelioma – a type of cancer that affects the mesothelium.

This is a thin membrane that lines the inner surface of the chest wall, the abdomen, the heart and the testicles. The mesothelium also surrounds the organs found within these cavities, such as the heart, lung and intestines. Mesothelioma affecting the lungs is the most common form of this life-threatening disease.

Quality care
is a human right

We believe that all mesothelioma patients have a right to:

  • A swift and accurate diagnosis
  • The best possible treatments and palliative care
  • The support of knowledgeable health care providers
  • The resources required for quality at-home care
  • Information about living with the disease in their home language

Together, we can raise awareness and understanding of asbestos-related diseases, and ensure all patients and their families get the support and care they deserve.
